In December 2017, we officially opened our new regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This location, known for being a regional hub to the Middle East, Asia and Africa, is recognized for being the base of many brand owners to run their operations for those regions.

This was started off by organizing a Smart Insights Event in the well-known landmark, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

Now officially established, regional director Tom van der Poel is reaching out to brand owners across industries. He says: “Brands have data but often do not know it or well enough to know what's possible with it. Through decades of proven expertise we take away that insecurity so they can truly dare to do more with their data. Tom adds to this that he is proud to bring ScanmarQED to this part of the world. Tom: "There is a strong culture of growth, and drive for success. This goes both for business owners in the UAE as well as at ScanmarQED, which makes it a good match. Therefore we look forward to helping our clients to show them the money still on the table and inject the performance of their brands.”

The new office is located inside Internet City, Dubai.

ScanmarQED Sponsors Development Project in Sri Lanka Thu, 14 Dec 2017 10:00:00 +0000 Aiding by teaching the basics of modern IT

ScanmarQED is sponsoring a project of the Rockids Foundation, which was established by Marjolein Meijer in loving memory of Stijn Meijer. The primary goal of the Rockids Foundation is to support the safety, health and education of underprivileged children and their families  in countries around the globe.

Rockids Foundation currently supports 500 vulnerable rural families in the former civil war zone of North Sri Lanka, with the goal of improving the psychosocial health of children affected by war and enabling the empowerment of women by means of investments in counselling, micro-credits, materials and infrastructure.

Project area: Madhu and Manthai West in the district of Mannar

The project is also supported by the Dutch charity organization Wilde Ganzen and is implemented in cooperation with the NGO Caritas-Valvuthayam in Sri Lanka. Recently we received their semi-annual report and good progress has been made on several fronts, for example: several groups of children have received counselling, their mothers have been educated in the micro-credit program and infrastructural improvements have been realized. Children that live far away from school received bikes under the Bike School Plan, so that they can attend school too.

All projects are visited by members and friends of the Rockids Foundation, who closely monitor progress and improvements. The next visit to the Mannar area is already planned for January 2018.

ScanmarQED wins Main Software 50 edition 2017 Wed, 15 Nov 2017 11:35:00 +0000

On November 17th, for the sixth year running, software investor Main Capital Software organized the Main Software 50 Awards, hosted by Roelof Hemmen of BNR Dutch National News, to recognize excellence, growth and innovation in the Dutch software sector. 

Among the 150+ companies that participated, ScanmarQED was the only software OEM to attain a full score on the growth index thanks to its strong (SaaS) proposition of smart technology solutions (using Artificial Intelligence and Cloud technologies) and for all-round excellence in creating software solutions for marketers and brand owners in the areas of predictive analytics, sales and operations planning and forecasting.

Alongside the host, Roelof Hemmen, was keynote speaker Remco Brouwer (Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation at Randstad Holding) whose core message detailed the transformation of Randstad into a software-driven company and how they grew and developed the business globally.

ScanmarQED, likewise, is enjoying phenomenal growth and has further extended its proposition globally by opening a new office in Dubai.
