To get these updates, simply open your software with Administrator rights, then go to the Help menu and select “Check for Updates” from the drop-down menu. Follow the update wizard screens. Long awaited, custom grids!

You can now sort, filter, group and even customize the hierarchical view on several key grids, such as the Curves, Values and Performance screens.

While the default approach is typically to load model results from strataQED, the reality of business planning means that nearly every project must include some level of customization. The new advanced grids allow for sorting, filtering, grouping and restructuring individual grids within the complex hierarchical structures of portfolioQED. This makes it significantly faster, easier, and more accurate, to review model import data and to manually enter key inputs (when manual entry is required).

Scenario Management

The new Selected Scenario function means that you will no longer have to scroll through long lists of scenarios. The scenario level viewer will now display only one scenario at a time, and a drop-down menu allows you to select the scenario you wish to view, and best of all, the hierarchy expansion selections hold from screen to screen as the selected scenario is changed.

Marginal ROI Reporting

While Marginal ROI has always been a critical part of portfolioQED, it was originally kept in the background to simplify the view. Through user feedback we realized that rather than simplify (this made it harder to understand the results of optimizations) we now report Marginal ROIs for all scenarios as well as the change in Marginal ROI. The ability to see where all marginals are in an optimized budget helps you understand why the optimal is the optimal.

MarketingTracker 5.15 introduces many new features and enhancements across the board. From improvements in reporting, dashboarding, and user experience to making number formatting and user management more efficient.

Enhanced storytelling and collaboration

Storytelling with data gives it more impact. ScanmarQED’s storyboard feature enables users to collect snapshots of various reports and dashboards in one place. The brand new storyline feature provides a space under each snapshot in the storyboard to enter the accompanying narrative. Users can then share the storyboard with colleagues or their agency to collaborate and refine that narrative. Then, when complete, present the storyboard directly from MarketingTracker or, export it to PowerPoint where the storyline text will be shown in the notes area.

Collaboration and sharing stories made simple.

New ways to add Notes

Users can now enjoy more flexibility on where notes appear. When notes are created and assigned to specific dimension selections (e.g. Geography + Product + Period) they only appear when those specific selections are made. Now, this can be changed on-the-fly using a checkbox to deselect which dimensions to disregard for the note.

Another exciting feature that empowers communication and collaboration is the capability for all users to add notes on dashboards. Dashboard designers simply add a Notebox item when creating a dashboard, and anyone accessing the dashboard can add notes for themselves or others to view later.

Excel loader improvements

MarketingTracker 5.15 substantially builds upon the Excel loader to make the process of importing Excel files and transforming them into data marts even more seamless.

Amongst the many improvements to the Excel loader, this version introduces the virtual columns function. Virtual columns enable users to add additional columns to a new or existing data mart that don’t exist in the original set of data.

For example, when creating a new data mart with three sets of sales data from three different regions in Excel format. The original data files do not contain a Geography column as this was not necessary for localized data. When importing the files into MarketingTracker the ‘Add Extra Column’ button can be clicked in the import wizard. This creates the required columns for the data marts without having to adjust the original files. This saves users the hassle and time spent adjusting the original files.

Learners will discover what MarketingTracker is and how it works, how to navigate through it, and how to create new reports. Followed by how to edit report data, format reports and share with all stakeholders. By the end of the course learners will be able to use the fundamental functions of MarketingTracker to create and share reports.

MarketingTracker users that have a username and password for the Knowledge Base can directly access to the course. They simply have to login and search for it.

Easy sharing

For better collaboration you can share exactly what is displayed on your screen. Make a selection in a report, share it as a link, and then click send. Your colleagues receive the report with your exact selections and can easily take things further from there.

In December 2017, we officially opened our new regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This location, known for being a regional hub to the Middle East, Asia and Africa, is recognized for being the base of many brand owners to run their operations for those regions.

This was started off by organizing a Smart Insights Event in the well-known landmark, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

Now officially established, regional director Tom van der Poel is reaching out to brand owners across industries. He says: “Brands have data but often do not know it or well enough to know what's possible with it. Through decades of proven expertise we take away that insecurity so they can truly dare to do more with their data. Tom adds to this that he is proud to bring ScanmarQED to this part of the world. Tom: "There is a strong culture of growth, and drive for success. This goes both for business owners in the UAE as well as at ScanmarQED, which makes it a good match. Therefore we look forward to helping our clients to show them the money still on the table and inject the performance of their brands.”

ScanmarQED Sponsors Development Project in Sri Lanka Thu, 14 Dec 2017 10:00:00 +0000 Aiding by teaching the basics of modern IT

ScanmarQED is sponsoring a project of the Rockids Foundation, which was established by Marjolein Meijer in loving memory of Stijn Meijer. The primary goal of the Rockids Foundation is to support the safety, health and education of underprivileged children and their families  in countries around the globe.

Rockids Foundation currently supports 500 vulnerable rural families in the former civil war zone of North Sri Lanka, with the goal of improving the psychosocial health of children affected by war and enabling the empowerment of women by means of investments in counselling, micro-credits, materials and infrastructure.

Project area: Madhu and Manthai West in the district of Mannar

The project is also supported by the Dutch charity organization Wilde Ganzen and is implemented in cooperation with the NGO Caritas-Valvuthayam in Sri Lanka. Recently we received their semi-annual report and good progress has been made on several fronts, for example: several groups of children have received counselling, their mothers have been educated in the micro-credit program and infrastructural improvements have been realized. Children that live far away from school received bikes under the Bike School Plan, so that they can attend school too.

All projects are visited by members and friends of the Rockids Foundation, who closely monitor progress and improvements. The next visit to the Mannar area is already planned for January 2018.

On November 17th, for the sixth year running, software investor Main Capital Software organized the Main Software 50 Awards, hosted by Roelof Hemmen of BNR Dutch National News, to recognize excellence, growth and innovation in the Dutch software sector.

Among the 150+ companies that participated, ScanmarQED was the only software OEM to attain a full score on the growth index thanks to its strong (SaaS) proposition of smart technology solutions (using Artificial Intelligence and Cloud technologies) and for all-round excellence in creating software solutions for marketers and brand owners in the areas of predictive analytics, sales and operations planning and forecasting.
