DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join ScanmarQED. In this role you will be working with an experienced team of data engineers and software developers on building a new generation of cloud marketing solutions on top of an innovative data analytics platform. You will help us keeping these services up-to-date, stable and continually enhanced to bring continued business value.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our software development infrastructure, and ensuring its scalability, reliability, and security. As a DevOps Engineer you need to have a strong understanding of software development, automation, and cloud computing. You are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally you join us in our office in the Netherlands or in Czech Republic.

Tech stack:

  • Programming languages: Dotnet Core C#, TypeScript, Angular and Python
  • Data infrastructure: Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive
  • Deployment: Docker and Kubernetes on Azure and AWS
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain software development infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices.
  • Collaborate with developers to automate and optimize software development processes.
  • Manage and monitor cloud-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to infrastructure and application components.
  • Implement and maintain security policies and practices to ensure data privacy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure and application components.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new DevOps tools and practices to improve software development efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or software engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of software development practices and principles, including Agile methodologies
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Strong scripting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture design and related tooling
  • DevSecOps with security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
