BI Consultant

As a Scanmar BI Consultant, you will work for large, international companies. In the design stage, you assess the customers' need for information and their KPIs. In the building stage, you support the technical realization of the information systems; technical skills are therefore of importance. During the implementation stage, you develop dashboards and train the customer how to use them effectively. You will be supported (both on the job and in a specific training program) by more experienced Scanmar Consultants and work closely together in various project teams.

There is a lot of attention to developing technical skills. You have the opportunity to develop broader skills, or to specialize. This means you will also be trained on the job in project management and client communication. Quality and service are core values for Scanmar.

The knowledge, skills and experience you bring

• Bachelor / Master degree (IT-related education)
• Some knowledge of the technical realization of business information systems
• Knowledge of relevant database software and dB modeling techniques: like SQL and Oracle
• Since you will work with data, familiarity with databases, SQL and data visualization is essential

What you will be doing

• Translate client’s business challenges into proper and marketing intelligence solutions including ETL, database modeling and transformation, and dashboarding
• Build client dashboards using ScanmarQED’s proprietary technology
• Maintain client systems, databases and dashboards
• Work in the field of BI and analytics to improve client decision-making solutions
• Train Software users
• Be involved in and managing client implementations

Soft skills required

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Good Dutch and English in speaking, reading and writing is mandatory
• Well-developed communication and social skills
• Problem-solving skills / abstract thinking (transforming a single problem into a generic solution)
• You think in solutions, and you are customer-oriented
• You have a can-do mentality: an enthusiastic self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• You are not easily stressed and keep the overview
